Otapawa Poll Dorsets
Otapawa Poll Dorsets were established in 1982 with Ewes being bought from Windermere, Glengarry, Punch Bowl, Atholstane and Ohio. Our aim is to breed sheep that have higher growth rates while maintaining an exceptional grading carcase. We concentrate on selecting rams with top Eye Muscle and Rump conformation. As part of our on going breeding programme we have embarked on a complex progeny testing research programme.
We mate around 200 ewes annually.
